We pray...That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth,and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge
…that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

DAY 9—Having a relationship with a Prophet can be very important as the time of trouble comes on.

This passage from Paul’s Second Letter to Timothy indicates that Prophets will be most useful in the Body of Christ as the time of the end draws closer in upon us.

II Timothy 3:1-3—This know also, that in the last days •perilous times shall come (ferocious seasons will hang over the land as if brought on by demons). For •men shall be lovers of their own selves, •covetous (lovers of money), •boasters (arrogant, vainglorious), •proud (haughty), •blasphemers (railing against God and all that is holy), •disobedient to parents, •unthankful (ungrateful), •unholy (profane, immoral), •without natural affection (heartless toward one’s own family), •trucebreakers (unwilling to enter into a treaty; irreconcilable), •false accusers (slanderers, like the devil himself), •incontinent (without self control), •fierce (ungentle, brutal), despisers of those that are good (not a lover of people or things that are good), •traitors, •heady (headstrong, rash), •highminded (puffed up), •lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God...

These conditions will prevail in people everywhere as sin reaches its full. With conditions like this working in people all over the earth, and even infiltrating the Church, Prophets will be of great help in guiding believers toward becoming overcomers. We cannot minimize their value as the time of the end comes on.

FATHER, please raise up Prophets throughout the land who can guide Your people during the perilous season when iniquity will reach its full. May these prophets be sure and certain in their Word. Give Your people wisdom to respond. But, O DEAR LORD, please keep us balanced in that we do not just give our lives over to being guided by others who prophesy over us. Keep us in the place of being led also by Your Word and by Your Spirit as they both work in us.
